Strawberry Park Pavilion Renovation
Project Description
The pavilion at Strawberry Park in Pasadena, Texas was built in 1966. It needed significant concrete repairs because of erosion and fractures caused over time. This landmark pavilion had major structural deficiencies, as well as vandalism that had taken its toll on the structure. A major restoration of the entire 75,000 square foot surface was required inside and out.
Concrete Repairs and Surface Prep
The 75,000 square foot concrete pavilion required significant surface preparation from the top side to the underside. It required comprehensive structural repairs, including crack injections, patching, and spall repairs, as well as pressure cleaning, sandblasting, and elastomeric coating.
Fully Restored Landmark Structure
The project resulted in a shiny, white, fully rehabilitated pavilion. The life of the pavilion was extended for the use of park goers and special events that take place regularly.
“SCS completed this project ahead of schedule, performed all work according to the specifications set forth by the project engineer, and conformed to all quality control measures.”
